Anybody else feeling the same as I am?  Time is simply flying way too fast!  It is almost June and it seems that it was just Christmas!

Part of the problem is that there are just so many rides to attend.  Some weekends multiple rides on the same day.  Check out the Upcoming Rides area to see what I mean.

Then of course we have our Benefit Ride on June 9th.  Minimally support your Chapter and COPS by registering even if you are planning not to attend. It is a Charity Event and you can write it off as a donation.

The following week is the Southwest Conference in Provo Utah and thereabouts. I was planning on attending, but personal events are going to take precedence and prevent me from attending.

For those that don’t know, I am retiring at the end of the summer. I am going to downsize my expenses by selling my house. I will need that time to take care of business as part of the process of selling.

One of the things I intend on doing is read. I am an avid reader loving action type books. As Webmaster I am finding that there are opportunities that come my way, both for the Club but also for myself.

I had a publisher email (using my email only available on the Website) a preview of a book that she was publishing.

Written by a former cop that led a Narcotics Enforcement Team, it fictionalizes what I believe came from real life events.  After reading the preview, I downloaded an e-book version.

GOTU A Robin Malette Novel is an action adventure that had me numerous times not being able to flip the pages fast enough. I am giving it a 4.5 out of 5 star rating !

Due to my background I recognized it as a work that portrays reality through a smoked mirror. A reality, that I have been made privy to by my dealings at the border. Scary stuff actually.  But, this is a must read for all of you that enjoy a good book from time to time.

For additional insight into the book  follow this link - http://www.gotuseries.com/2011/09/welcome -to-the-gotu-series/

It is available from Google books, Amazon, etc.

Another plan that I have for retirement is to ride.  But, whether at the level of John Garzon, I can not say!

Or own John (Iron Butt) Garzon is currently on another “ride.”  It sounds that it is a cross between an Iron Butt and Four Corners Ride.

You can read about his and his partner’s adventures at the following link. http://www.usa4corners.org/

You can also follow them in real time with the following  link courtesy of the GPS era we live in -  http://spotwalla.com/tripViewer.php?id=422 a4f5bd66420883

Well enough for now. I am sure I am forgetting something.  But, tough!  Got more to take care of for this month’s Newsletter!

Ride with Pride,

Larry
